Centre for Global Animal Diseases invites to the seminar "Linking One Health Research and Capacity Building to Communities: A case of brucellosis zoonotic disease study in Hoima District, Uganda".

Dr. Lawrence Mugisha is Associate Professor, College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity, at Makerere University.
Dr. Mugisha is an expert in Wildlife Health and Biodiversity Conservation, Great Ape Conservation and Primate Health, EcoHealth and Livestock Research, Disease Management and Surveillance using One Health Approach.  
He has worked for Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Conservation Trust that manages Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. He also worked as a veterinary extension worker for Ntungamo Local Government, working with livestock programs including Plan for Modernisation of Agriculture. He is involved in EcoHealth scientific research with major emphasis on infectious diseases at the wildlife-human-livestock interface.
